Wednesday, January 21, 2015 At 7:30 AM, Manalapan Township Fire Company was dispatched to a reported 3 car motor vehicle accident on Route 33, in the area of Pegasus Blvd. Manalapan Police arrived on scene and confirmed 3 vehicles with multiple injuries and entrapment. 26-2-67 arrived on scene, established command, and advised responding units of fluids in the roadway and 1 patient needing extrication. 26-2-68 arrived and was assigned the operations branch, with 26-2-80 assigned to patient care and extrication, and 26-2-78 assigned to assist. Route 33 was closed to traffic while units operated for just over 30 minutes. A total of 5 patients were evaluated, with 2 being transported to area hospitals. Departments assisting on scene included Monroe EMS, Englishtown-Manalapan First Aid, Freehold First Aid, MONOC, and NJ DOT.
