Last night Lieutenant Mareasma conducted a mayday drill for the firefighters of station 26-2. Maydays are important to learn because it’s our way of communicating with people on the outside in case anything goes wrong. In our line of duty, it is never too early to call a mayday and that’s exactly what Lieutenant Mareasma taught the newer firefighters and even reminded the older firefighters. They also learned how to secure a downed firefighter for extraction, and even worked on left and right-handed primary searches.
