Tuesday, December 23, 2014 At approximately 1:15 AM, Manalapan Twp Fire Co.1 and Englishtown Fire Dept were dispatched to the Englishtown Auction for a fire alarm. Manalapan Police units arrived and reported a heavy smoke condition from the yellow/blue building. Police units were able to gain entry and confirmed a working fire. Upon confirmation of a working fire, 12-66 requested a full 1st alarm assignment and established command. Engine 12-74 placed 2 lines in service while Manalapan units were arriving. Both departments were able to extinguish the fire at 1:35 AM, containing most of the damage to Unit 69. Jamesburg Fire Dept was requested to cover Station 12-1, while Freehold Independent Fire Co and Millstone Fire Dept were requested to standby by Station 26-2. Assisting on scene was Monroe Station 57, Gordons Corner Fire Co (26-1), Englishtown-Manalapan First Aid, Monroe First Aid, Monmouth County HazMat, Monmouth County Fire Marshall, and Manalapan Fire Bureau. All units cleared the scene with no injuries at approximately 4:10 AM.
