At around 4:30 AM on Sunday morning, Manalapan Township Fire Company (26-2) was dispatched mutual aid into Millstone Twp (32-1) for a reported structure fire with victims inside. Chief Carbin (32-66) was the first to arrive and reported a working fire with possible entrapment. He immediately requested a response from 26-2, Freehold Independent Fire Comapny 1 (16-1) and Monroe (Station 57). 32-90 arrived shortly after Chief Carbin and immediately placed a handline service, and searched the residence. The victim was found in the basement and was brought outside by firefighters. Chief Keaney 26-2-66, 26-2-78, and 26-2-96 checked in service, along with apparatus from Station 57 and 16-1. Prior to the arrival of mutual aid, Chief Carbin placed the fire under control and returned Station 57, 16-1, and 26-2-96. 26-2-78 continued to the scene to assist with overhaul. The patient was subsequently transported to a local hospital. Units from Roosevelt EMS, Millstone EMS, Monoc Paramedics, Monmouth County Fire Marshal’s Office, and NJSP also responded to the scene.
